Ferry services cancelled

A heavy swell, high winds and rough seas are disrupting ferry services.

The morning ferry out of Lochboisdale had to divert on a longer route over the top of the Small Isles to get to Oban

The afternoon departure from Oban to South Uist is cancelled.

A replacement ferry service may or may not operate from Oban to Lochboisdale on Thursday.

Both inter-island ferries have cancelled their services.

The MV Isle of Lewis is storm-bound in Castlebay all day and her timetable to Oban is cancelled. Instead, an additional service will operate on Thursday with the earlier departure of 7.30am from Castlebay.
