The Uig-Tarbert-Lochmaddy ferry service has been suspended on Saturday afternoon due to the high winds gusting up to 40 knots.

Weather permitting an amended timetable will operate in the evening.

The ferry aims to depart Skye at 6pm for a return voyage to North Uist.

The Tarbert service is to leave Skye at 10pm.
