All Western Isles ferry routes face cancelled sailings due to a north moving band of adverse weather.

Ferries for Barra, South Uist, North Uist and Harris are stuck in port after the brewing storm whipped up high winds winds and rough seas.

The only Cal Mac ship running on the open seas of the west coast was the MV Loch Seaforth.

The weather in the northern Minch was just a breeze in the morning.

However, a forecast of 50mph gusts means the Seaforth’s lunchtime sailing is likely to be cancelled. If the vessel does sail she will remain in Ullapool until tomorrow morning.
