A weather front moving north eastwards over the islands is bringing adverse weather. Winds will strengthen over the day with a force eight gale expected later.

Seas in the Minch are forecast to be very rough for a period.

The MV Loch Seaforth will depart Stornoway at lunchtime but will remain in Ullapool. Her 5.30pm sailing is cancelled and neither will her outbound Stornoway freight service run.

The ferry is due to leave the mainland with haulage in the early hours to be in position for the timetabled morning run from Lewis.

The MV Isle of Lewis is tied up in Castlebay today with her Oban sailings cancelled.

The South Uist - Mallaig service are not operating today.

Both inter-island ferries are on yellow alert and face disruption or cancellations.

 

 

 

 

Stornoway ferry sailing cancelled

Cal Mac has added the Ullapool - Stornoway route ferry onto its list of today’s cancelled ferry services.
