The MV Hebrides returned to Lochmaddy to land an ill crew member earlier today.
The ferry had not long departed the North Uist.
Her skipper turned the vessel around in the open water just after noon and proceeded back to the pier.
The ferry later resumed service and is catching up on lost time.
