A freeze on Cal Mac ferry fares for next year has been announced.
Ticket prices on Scottish Government subsidised ferry services will be pegged at present prices for the next year and a half.
It applies up to April 2017.
Minister for Transport and Islands, Derek Mackay, said the freeze includes passengers, cars and commercial vehicles.
He said holding down ferry fares would "make a real difference for local residents."
