Hebrides News

Both return ferry sailings on the Stornoway to Skye route have been cancelled today due to strong winds and sea conditions in the Minch.

However, the Loch Seaforth maintained her foot passenger-only service to Ullapool.

The Stornoway freight ferry did not operate this morning.

MV Hebrides service for Lochmaddy and Tarbert is on amber alert due to high winds and may be liable to disruption or cancellation at short notice.

The Clansman is sailing to Castlebay but her return trip to Oban may be disrupted said Cal Mac.

The Sound of Harris route - which has less sailings due to tidal conditions - may also be affected by weather.
