Weekend ferry services for Lochboisdale and Castlebay are disrupted due to adverse weather.

Today's outbound run from Oban was cancelled due to southwesterly winds and a heavy swell.

Sunday morning's ferry service out of South Uist and Barra will not operate due to the forecast.

Instead, the MV Isle of Arran will make additional sailings on Saturday.

She will depart Oban at 8.30am. On the return leg, the ferry is due to leave Lochboisdale at 4.15pm on Saturday afternoon, calling in at Castlebay to arrive Oban before midnight.

At present, the MV Clansman is due to sail her Sunday evening run to Barra and South Uist. The forecast predicts wind speeds over 50mph and a rolling swell.
