Hebrides News

High winds and rough seas have resulted in a number of ferry services being suspended today.

No ferry will sail for Tarbert - traffic is being diverted through Stornoway and Ullapool on the MV Loch Seaforth.

The North Uist sailings have been suspended with a review later in the day. The MV Clansman is presently weatherbound in Lochmaddy.

There will be no Sound of Barra service this afternoon while the Sound of Harris ferry is liable to cancellation.

No ferry will sail to South Uist tonight. The vessel will tie up in Castlebay instead. Monday morning’s service from Lochboisdale-Castlebay-Oban may also be disrupted.
