Ferry disruption likely in rough seas 18/3/14
Western Isles ferries are likely to be disrupted on Wednesday due to wild seas and heavy weather affecting the islands.
Strong southwesterly winds are expected into Thursday.
Ferry operator Caledonian Macbrayne warns that many ferry services risk being “disrupted or delayed at short notice due to adverse weather.”
Affected routes will “operate on a sailing by sailing basis with conditions being assessed throughout the day,” said the shipping company.
Stornoway freight ferry MV Clipper Ranger has cancelled her early morning run.
