Ferry services face disruption due to strong winds over the middle of the week.

So far, the MV Lord of the Isles has cancelled her Tuesday schedule to Mallaig so she can run to Oban nearly 24-hours ahead of schedule.

In pace of her regular Wednesday sailings, the ship will leave Lochboisdale at 7am for Castlebay and the mainland as she runs ahead of the incoming gale, rough seas and predicted very high swell.

Sailings on the Sound of Harris route may be disrupted, or cancelled at short notice on Tuesday.
