Western Isles ferry services will be disrupted later today due to an incoming severe gale.

The Finlaggan’s timetable has changed - she will depart Skye to Tarbert and then onward to Lochmaddy.

This replaces her scheduled afternoon and evening sailings.

The MV Isle of Lewis’ 5.30pm departure out of Ullapool risks being cancelled. Thursday’s timetable between Stornoway and Ullapool is also liable to disruption.

The MV Lord of the Isles was stormbound in Castlebay after her arrival and never made Lochboisdale yesterday. She is sailing there this morning before going onward to Oban.

The MV Clansman’s outward voyage tonight is cancelled.  The next sailing on this route is to be advised later.
