Western Isles ferry services face delays and disruptions on Friday due to a westerly gale and predicted swell conditions.

 

The MV Hebrides is to operate an amended delayed schedule, weather permitting.

 

The ferry will now depart Lochmaddy at 12 noon. She will sail via Tarbert, arriving there at 1.45pm and onward to Skye.

 

She will then head back at 4pm, arriving Tarbert at 5.40pm and docking in Lochmaddy around 7.45pm on Friday night.

 

The MV Clansman’s run to Oban is liable to disruption said Cal Mac. The ship is expected to depart Lochboisdale at 10am, calling in at Castlebay at 11.30am.

 

Sailings between Stornoway and Ullapool are on amber alert for the day.
