Western Isles ferry services face cancellation or disruption tomorrow (Wed) due to strong winds and rough seas forecast.

The MV Lord of the Isles has cancelled her early morning inward sailing to Oban. However, weather permitting, she will depart South Uist at 10.30pm on Wednesday night calling in at Castlebay after midnight before heading to Oban.

The MV Hebridesis on amber alert and has delayed her outward sailing from Oban to Castlebay and Lochboisdale until 4.30pm.

All sailings on the Uig-Lochmaddy-Tarbert triangle have been cancelled.

The Stornoway - Ullapool route is on amber alert. The MV Loch Seaforth is will be on amber alert due to expected adverse weather and may be liable to disruption or cancellation at short notice.

There will be no freight sailing for Lewis.

The Sound of Harris ferry is also liable to disruption.
