Ferries face disruption on Saturday as another gale sweeps across the west coast.
The Sound of Barra service is liable to disruption or cancellation at short notice.
MV Loch Seaforth is stormbound in Ullapool until the weather abates. Her last sailing
was at Friday lunchtime from Stornoway. Overnight freight runs were also cancelled
as is the morning sailing out of Stornoway.
The vessel hopes to set to sea mid-morning from the mainland port though forecasts
were looking borderline. The route remains on disruption alert. Due to predicted
sea conditions, livestock and horses will be carried on a case-by-case basis.
South Uist crossings for Oban are on yellow alert.
