The South Uist ferry service faces disruption over the next two days due to bad weather.

Due to south easterly winds forecast over 40 knots the MV Lord of the Isles will depart Mallaig two hours earlier than usual.

There is a heightened possibility of disruption for her Wednesday timetable on the route.

The Castlebay ferry service is also liable to weather disruption at short notice on Wednesday.
