A heavy swell and gale force winds are set to disrupt ferry services on Sunday.

The first sailing of the MV Isle of Lewis between Skye and Stornoway is cancelled. The 7.40am and the 11.40am return runs will not operate, The vessel is due to remain in Stornoway until the afternoon.

However, the MV Loch Seaforth is due to make her foot-passenger only return sailing between Stornoway and Ullapool.

The MV Clansman’s run from Castlebay may be disrupted or cancelled.

The 3.40pm sailing for Lochboisdale/Castlebay ferry out of Oban is also on amber alert.
