Hebrides News

Ferry sailings face disruption on Friday due to strong southerly winds.

A force eight gale is forecast to peak in the evening.

The MV Hebrides afternoon schedule on the Skye triangle has changed due to the poor weather.

The vessel will depart Uig at 2pm and sail to North Uist via Harris.

The Tarbert to Uig run has been cancelled as has the Uig to Lochmaddy sailing.

Very rough seas are expected off South Uist and Barra tomorrow night.

The Loti will sail to Mallaig instead of Oban, leaving at 7.15am.

On the Castlebay route, the Lewis has an early start with a 6.45am departure
