High winds will delay the departure of the Saturday morning ferry from South Uist.

Current forecasts show north westerly winds gusting up to 34 knots at Mallaig on arrival time, making berthing potentially hazardous.

Cal Mac said the MV Lord of the Isles will depart at 9am. The evening run from the mainland will operate as scheduled.
