Ferries face disruption

Ferry services face disruption with the weather deteriorating to a force eight gale on Friday.

The MV Isle of Lewis will sail from Castlebay at 5.30am. Any later departure would curtail sailings. The return trip leaves Oban at 11am.

Based on the current weather forecast, sailings between Lochboisdale and Oban is due to operate on time - unless the worst of the conditions kicks in earlier than forecast.

The Skye - South Uist / Harris service is liable to disruption or cancellation at short notice.
