Hebrides News

Strong winds will disrupt many ferry sailings on Monday.

The MV Isle of Lewis will leave Castlebay at 6am and plans a fast turnaround at Oban.

A 5am departure is planned for the Lochboisdale - Mallaig route.

The Uig triangle timetable has been replaced by an amended schedule.

The Hebridean Isles will depart at 5am from Lochmaddy to Skye. At 7.30am - two hours earlier than timetabled - she will leave the port for Lochmaddy. She sails back to the mainland at 10am.

For the second day there will be no service out of Tarbert. The Hebridean Isles will operate a sailing to Harris, leaving Skye at 12.30pm.

Cal Mac suggested passengers wishing to travel from Tarbert to Skye can travel via the Sound of Harris. Foot passengers can catch the 7.15am bus from Tarbert to Leverburgh. A minibus will collect passengers at Berneray to catch the 10am Lochmaddy sailing to Uig at no extra cost.
