Heavy seas and strong gale force winds will hamper ferry services on Sunday.

The MV Isle of Lewis will remain in Castlebay until 1pm when the high southerly swell is expected to reduce.

The return leg is also delayed with the vessel aiming to leave Oban around 9pm, arriving Barra at 2.15am on Monday morning.

Both inter-island ferries are also liable to disruption in the morning.

The Lochboisdale service is also on yellow alert.
