All Western Isles ferries were cancelled this afternoon with heavy swells in the Minch.

 

In the morning, some ships ran ahead of more incoming severe weather.

 

The MV Finlaggan was forced to cancel rns to Lochmaddy. She sailed earlier than usual and managed a return trip from Tarbert to Uig.

 

The Stornoway ferry also headed off hours before her normal schedule. She is now stuck in Ullapool until mid-morning Monday at least.

 

The MV Clansman is still stormbound in Castlbay. A reivew of conditions is due tonight.

 

The inter-island ferries cancelled their timetable after completing morning sailings.

 

Further disruptions and cancellations are expected tomorrow.
