Ferry services for Lochboisdale are cancelled due to the lack of a ship.

Regular ferry MV Lord of the Isles is held up in drydock while relief vessel MV Isle of Arran has been dispatched to cover the Mull route while the MV Isle of Mull prepares to head off for her annual refit.

The Loti should have returned to South Uist by now but extra work was required during her overhaul in Aberdeen.

She is expected to undergo sea trials on Wednesday before sailing to Uist to resume sailings on Friday.

Cal Mac is advising affected passengers to travel via Lochmaddy. Alternatively traffic could use the Sound of Barra and Castlebay ferries.
