All ferry sailings across the Sound of Barra are cancelled today due to strong seas and heavy seas. on the route.
A force eight gale is affecting the route between Ardmhor and Eriskay.
The MV Loch Alainn was forced to turn back to Barra during one attempt to make the crossing on Saturday morning.
With no improvement in the conditions the skipper was forced to cancel all runs.
Similar conditions with a high swell are forecast for Sunday and the service will be on amber alert.
