The afternoon sailing of the Stornoway ferry has been cancelled due to a severe northerly swell down the Minch.
Rolling seas intensified during the MV Isle of Lewis’ morning return run between Lewis and Ullapool.
The bumpy ride across the Minch has delayed the ship’s arrival in Stornoway at lunchtime
Cal Mac said she would not venture out until conditions subside.
Swell heights of five metres or more will continue over the day before easing early on Saturday.
The sea conditions are the aftermath of the Atlantic storm which affected the islands this week.
