Bad weather is affecting island ferry timetables today (Fri).

The MV Isle of Arran’s service for Lochboisdale is cancelled.

Neither will be Barra - Oban ferry operate.

The Tarbert ferry left twenty minutes early.

The Hebrides is due at Lochmaddy around 11am but berthing is not guaranteed.

If berthing is successful, vessel will then remain in Lochmaddy overnight.

All other sailings on the Skye triangle route are cancelled.

Due to strong winds and tides and low water, the 10.45am from Berneray and the 15.05pm from Leverburgh will not operate.

The first scheduled crossing of the Sound of Barra was cancelled.

The evening run of the MV Loch Seaforth from Ullapool is cancelled as is the freight run out of Stornoway. The vessel plans to sail from Ullapool with lorries in the early hours.
