All ferry sailings on both the Sound of Harris and the Sound of Barra routes have been confirmed as cancelled today due to a Force 8 gale.

The MV Isle of Lewis took a detour southward to ease the sea effect on the ship on her passage to Ullapool.

All South Uist and Barra sailings have been put off. The MV Lord of the Isles took heed of the advance gale warning and ran ahead of the weather last night. Her scheduled timetable is cancelled.

The MV Clansman will not sail from Oban today due to very high westerly winds.  The Monday morning sailings are also cancelled. The next sailing on the route is at 2.30pm Monday out of Oban.
