Ferries disrupted due to incoming storm        4/10/14

The MV Hebrides has cancelled her Sunday night sailings to Lochmaddy and Tarbert.

The 4pm service out of Tarbert has also been put off so the ship can sail a revised timetable to avoid strong southerly winds.

The ferry will now sail at 2pm from Skye. She will head for Lochmaddy first and to Tarbert, arriving there around 6pm.

All sailings are on amber alert and are weather permitting.

Meanwhile, the sailing from Oban to Barra and South Uist is liable to cancellation due to winds gusting to 70 mph in open water on Sunday.
