A band of high winds bringing rough seas has resulted in many ferry disruptions.

 

There will be no sailings between Stornoway and Ullapool until Monday lunchtime at least. The next planned departure is 2pm Monday out of Stornoway, weather permitting.

 

The Stornoway freight vessel is also cancelled.

 

The MV Clansman is weatherbound in Oban and is not operating on the Castlebay and Lochboisdale route. As a result, Monday morning’s inbound timetable is also cancelled. The next scheduled sailing on this service is the 2.30pm departure from Oban on Monday though this is also liable to disruption due to ongoing adverse weather conditions.

 

The Sound of Harris sailings are cancelled for Sunday.

 

The MV Loch Bhrusda did not venture our for her morning run between Barra and Eriskay. A decision on the afternoon sailing will be made later.

 

The MV Hebrides is the only vessel operating though her sailings on the Uig triangle are on amber altert.
