The outward ferry from Oban to Castlebay and Lochboisdale has been cancelled due to rough seas and strong winds.

The knock-on effect means there will be no vessel in the islands to pick up the Monday’s inward voyage to Oban.

Tomorrow morning’s service from Lochboisdale and from Castlebay is cancelled as a result.

Cal Mac hopes to have an outbound ferry on the route on Monday afternoon but the 2.30pm schedule is on amber alert and may be disrupted due to the adverse weather forecast.

Earlier today, the MV Clansman was unable to call into Lochboisdale due to strong winds.
