The majority of Western Isles ferries are cancelled or disrupted today due to strong winds.

The Loch Seaforth’s evening sailing from the mainland is cancelled. Neither will the Stornoway overnight freight service operate. The 7am run out of Stornoway is also cancelled. The ferry will tie up in Ullapool until the first passenger sailing tomorrow morning.

The Sound of Barra service is suspended until tomorrow.

There is no service between Castlebay and Lochbosidale today.

The Berneray ferry did not go to sea this morning. The afternoon sailing is also cancelled.

The Lochboisdale - Oban run and the the Castlebay service are cancelled for the second day running.

The MV Hebrides remained in Skye last night. Her early morning Lochmaddy sailing was cancelled.
