Barra and Castlebay ferry sailings were cancelled today with the MV Clansman stormbound in Lochboisdale.  The ferry is due to leave at 6am on Saturday to take delayed passengers to Oban via Castlebay.

The MV Lord of the Isles has also been disrupted by the adverse weather. She is now due to sail out of Oban at 8.15am on Saturday morning.

Her morning runs between Lochboisdale and Mallaig are cancelled.  She is expected to carry out her afternoon sailings on the route.

Meanwhile, the single return sailing of the Sound of Harris ferry was cancelled today due to the bad weather.

In addition, the Stornoway ferry did not venture out of harbour in the morning. She undertook a delayed afternoon sailing which was held back further to wait for disrupted air passengers.
