Sir,

The biggest and scariest monster in Europe is, not in Loch Ness, but in Brussels and its called the EU. How thankful we should be that as a country, having voted to leave, we are out of it. Little do people realise how utterly corrupt and dishonest the EU is. It has been from the very beginning and still is. Their top secret agenda, however, can’t be kept under wraps forever: Brexit has brought it to light, “be sure your sin will find you out.”

The EU exists only to become a superstate. Yes, it craves to be a federal European superstate, an United States of Europe. With Britain gone, it has brought them nothing but distress and misery. The despair of bitter Presidents Tusk and Juncker, along with their puppet Barnier, is evident, week-after-week, as they continue to offer subtle Brexit sweeteners to lure 'the valuable fish' back into the broken EU net.

The unknown story is that Britain's entry into the EU was effected by the underhand schemes of senior politicians, who deceived Parliament and the British people with lies and deceit into thinking they were only joining a trading arrangement, when the culprits knew clearly that the aim was political union.

In 1972 the then Prime Minister, Edward Heath, publicly said that the EU was only a common market: “There are some in this country who fear that going into Europe we shall in some way sacrifice independence and sovereignty. These fears, I need hardly say, are completely unjustified.” He was lying through his teeth and blatantly deceived the UK into joining the EU. When challenged later as to why he lied he said: “the British public are too stupid to be involved in governing themselves.”

What other EU politicians have also done - through stealth, subterfuge, lies and deceit – to secure their goal is quite unbelievable. It has all leaked out. Listen to the words of Jean Monnet, who was one of the ‘founding fathers’ of the European project, which he penned in 1952: “Europe's nations should be guided towards a super state without their people understanding what is happening. This can be accomplished by successive steps each disguised as having an economic purpose, but which will eventually and irreversibly lead to federation.”

In 2007, the devious Giscard D’Estaing, chairman of the rejigged EU constitution said: “Public opinion will be led to adopt, without knowing it, the proposals that we dare not present to them directly…All the earlier proposals will be in the new text, but will be hidden and disguised in some way.”

Oh, what a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive. Deceit has consequences, if only the Brussels elite had realised it before Brexit. The Bible reminds us, in Proverbs 20:17, that anything gained by deceit quickly turns to destructive bitterness. Britain's exit from the EU means that one of the bloc's biggest economies will stop making contributions to its budget, yes mega billions.

Never has the ugly EU Frankenstein-like monster looked so frighteningly miserable.
