Sir,
I see that our former chancellor, Alistair Darling -
Yes, they remind us what a generous institution the EU is, having thrown grants -
People ought to be reminded that the UK only receive back around 10 billion of the 19 billion pounds we generously, thank you very much, we throw to them every year. And they have every good reason not for giving back the other nine billion pounds. They have desperate need for it, not to dish out to other needy nations in the EU, but to feed their own hidden, and passionate, secret agenda.
It is because they have such an agenda that they are run by unelected, unaccountable elites, whose power is vast. This is not a myth, as some may claim. The EU itself was created by an undemocratic treaty and it is high time people woke up to see the ‘one main thing’ that is on their agenda. Their deepest craving is to create a federal United States of Europe. Yes, this ‘European government’ already has a flag, a parliament, an anthem, presidents, currency, a legal system and legal status – to name just a few. What they don’t ‘officially’ yet have they are determined to ruthlessly secure, in secret, behind closed doors – where laws are made. And our nine billion pounds will certainly come in very handy to help them.
Let’s face the real bare facts, that many MEPs will confirm themselves. The EU is largely unaccountable to the views of the public. The European Council is made up of leading government ministers of member states, and has the power of final decision, while the European Commission enforces EU directives and regulations, with the European Parliament permitted to amend but not initiate those directives. Only the Commission has sole right to propose legislation. And it does so in consultation with 3,000 secret committees staffed mainly by big business and big capital and all the legislation is proposed in secret.
Once something becomes a European law, it is the European Commission alone who have the sole right to propose, repeal or change of that legislation – nobody else. This is not democracy but dictatorship.
Democracy doesn't work unless legislation is considered in public. But every stage of the legislation that is now imposed upon us from Europe is conducted in secret, and nearly every stage is conducted by people whom we do not elect. Not only is this all very sinister and chilling, it is also unacceptable.
The reality is that that the EU is a dictatorship. It is also undemocratic and anti-
