Barra, Vatersay, Eriskay & South Uist
No change to current boundaries but reduction in number of councillors from 4 to 3
Benbecula & North Uist
No change to current boundaries. Number of councillors to remain at three.
Harris, Lochs, Uig and Bernera
Four councillors in a new single superward, reflecting the wish that the entire Lochs community be in one electoral ward, linked with Harris, and including Uig and Bernera. This effectively combines two current wards into one.

Extension of current boundaries to include Sandwick and Plasterfield
Stornoway South
Changes to current boundaries and a reduction from four councillors to three.
Stornoway North
Changes to current boundaries and a reduction from four councillors to three.
Broadbay
Little change to current boundaries
Ness & Westside
Remain a four councillor ward, but extended the area to include Carloway, Breasclete, Callanish and Garynahine. Possible name change to reflect the addition of the Carloway district.
