A fundraising event is taking place this summer in aid of a cystic fibrosis charity.
The Golden Eagle challenge which consists of a 10.6 mile run and 19.7 mile cycle
is being organised by The Leanne Fund which offers support services across the north
The charity was set up in 2009 in memory of Leanne Mitchell from Lewis.
The event on July 14th is being held to mark what would have been her 30th birthday.

manager of The Leanne Fund said: “We wanted to organise a different event this summer
to mark Leanne’s 30th birthday.
“The Golden Eagle Challenge has a challenging route which we hope will appeal to
competitors from both near and far and we are happy to also accept team entries.”With
around 20 pairs of golden eagles in residence, Harris was an obvious location for

Participants are asked to raise sponsorship to help expand the organisation’s our
