Kenneth Murray of Macphail Street, Bridgton, Glasgow, pleaded guilty at Stornoway Sherrif Court to embezzling cash.
He stole £1,317 from the Air Training Corp (ATC) squadron premises in Stornoway, the court was told
The money went missing between 2011 and 2014.
Murray, formerly of Lewis, was a civilian instructor with the ATC at the time.
