Ferry sailings for Lochmaddy and Tarbert were affected by gale force winds on Monday.

Services ceased to operate in the afternoon with strong easterly gusts affecting all ports on the routes.

The relief ships will operate an amended timetable on Tuesday as a result.

The early morning departure from Lochmaddy is cancelled as the MV Hebridean Isles is weatherbound in Uig. Timings are changed as she will set off from Skye and run directly between both ports over the day.

The Isle of Arran will sail as scheduled from Harris at 7am with the aim of completing two direct return voyages across the Minch.

Meanwhile, the redeployment of the Lord of the Isles means her second South Uist - Mallaig run is cancelled on Tuesday. Her morning sailing is subject to weather conditions.
