More than 70 people will pound the pavements on Lewis on an 31 mile overnight walk in aid of the Leanne Fund this weekend.

The first Dusk2Dawn event in 2014 raised over £13,000 for the charity which supports those affected by cystic fibrosis and their families.

The team will set off at 8pm from Perceval Square, through Lews Castle Grounds and go around Newvalley, Laxdale and Benside.

Then it's back on to the streets of Stornoway before heading out to Point, taking them through Bayble, ploughing on around Knock and hitting the home straight back to the town centre via Plasterfield.

Walkers are expected to arrive back in Perceval Square between 6 and 8am on Saturday morning.

Organisers urge locals to give the fundrasiers encouragement and support on route.

The Leanne Fund was set up in 2009 in memory of Leanne Mitchell from Point, Lewis.
