An island man received a three year community payback order after pleading guilty to drug charges.
Sean Mackenzie of 19 Gearraidh Ghuirm, Upper Coll, Lewis, was also sentenced to 250 hours of unpaid community service work after he admitted being concerned in the supply of cannabis resin.
He also accepted possessing cannabis in October 2013.
Lawyer Robbie Burnett said Mackenzie was not actively dealing cannabis but had been asked to look after the drugs for someone who had gone off the island. he put them up in his loft and effectively forgot about them.
