Driving ban

A suspected drink driver who failed to give police a breath test has been disqualified for 13 months.

Stornoway Sheriff Court heard Don Alexander Munro of the Acres Hostel, Island Road, Stornoway, refused to give a breathalyser test at Stornoway police station.

The 25-year-old was also sentenced to 125 hours of community service for taking a van from Allt na Broige, Marybank, by Stornoway, without the owner's consent.

Munro previously pleaded guilty to both offences which occurred in July.
