Driver dies at wheel

A 61 year old islander has died of a medical issue after taking ill behind the wheel of a car.

The man was driving north towards the town

His vehicle - which was carrying passengers - left the road and went through a fence, coming to rest on moorland.

The incident occurred around 5pm on Saturday about one mile north of Leurbost.

No other vehicles were involved.
