Harris councillor Catherine Macdonald has been been banned from driving after being
caught over the limit.
The 75-year-old of 10 Drinishader, Harris, was breathalysed after police stopped
her car while she was on the mainland.
The councillor - who is a member of the Comhairle’s transport committee - appeared
at Inverness Sheriff Court on Thursday.
She pleaded guilty to driving on a road between Dalcross and Croy on Monday 24 March.
Sheriff Andrew Webster disqualified her for 12 months and imposed a £300 fine.
Catherine Macdonald is a councillor for the Harris and South Lochs ward.
