Drink driver has car seized

A drink driver faces losing his vehicle after he was caught driving while three times the legal limit.
Thomas Gibb of 19 Thorwood Brae, Hamilton, appeared from custody at Stornoway Sheriff Court this week.

The offence occurred on Cromwell Street, Stornoway, on Sunday.
Hon sheriff Roddie Mackay called for background reports and deferred sentenced to next month.
Procurator fiscal Karen Smith indicated she intends making a submission at that time to forfeit Gibb's van.
Meanwhile, the vehicle was seized until the court decides what will happen to it.
