Double assault 22/7/10
Murdo Mackinnon of Murray Place, Stornoway, has been ordered to carry out 150 hours of community service on top of £300 compensation over two assault charges which took place on April 3rd.
Stornoway Sheriff Court heard he pushed a woman after a simmering argument.
Lawyer Kevin Macpherson said a second female picked up a knife in reaction to that and Mackinnon punched and seized her by the throat.
