Trading Standards officers at Comhairle nan Eilean Siar are warning islanders about sellers who are knocking on doors selling tools and electrical equipment.
The doorstep sellers are currently on Lewis.
A council spokesperson said: “Our advice is simply – do not buy from door to door sellers.”
