A new book commemorating the Great War and the impact it had on the lives of the communities in Ness is being launched this week.
Dol Fodha na Grèine (The Going Down of the Sun) which covers the effect of the WW1
on villages between Baile an Truiseal and Sgiogarstaidh in north Lewis has been jointly
published by Acair and Comunn Eachdraidh Nis.
The public event takes place at 3pm on Saturday in the comunn eachdraidh’s premises.
A related exhibition will also open at the same time.
