Bad weather and tides are affecting the ferry service for South Uist and Barra.

The MV Lord of the Isles was delayed from departing Lochboisdale this morning due to adverse conditions.

An improvement in the weather allowed her to sail with a late call-in at Castlebay on route to Oban.

The outbound MV Clansman will sail to Lochboisdale first this evening to avoid low tides at the berth.

She will later head for Castlebay, docking there overnight.

There are also changed timings for Monday's ferry service. The Clansman will depart Castlebay at 6am, one hour and 40 minutes earlier, for South Uist then Oban.
