The 5th Highlands and Islands took place in Stornoway this year and was held at the Sea Angling Club.

 

The doubles was won by Murdo Alex Macleod and Derick Maclean (Inverness) beating local player Jamie Reid and Jim O' Donnell 6-2, Derick and Murdo scored 12 100+ scores in the final along with 2 180's and a 121 checkout.

In the Open Singles, Derick Maclean took the Highlands and Islands' title this year beating Finlay Maciver 8-3 in the final.

 

Derick showed pure class on his way to winning the title with his power scoring and not giving his opponents any chance.

 

Both players played a great final with 42 100+ scores three 180's.
 

Semi-finalists were Alex Morrison and Jim O' Donnell.

 

The committee would like to thank all the players who showed up over the weekend and off course the Sea Angling Club for hosting the event this year.

Meanwhile, the Neil Mackay cup was won by Rangers Club A, captained by Murdo Macleod.
